TechFlow news, on July 29, Justin Sun posted on Weibo saying he had made a bet with Sogou founder Wang Xiaochuan over which would have a higher market cap—TRON or Sogou—within three years, with the loser paying 100 bitcoins to the winner. He noted that for 90% of the time, TRON's market cap had been higher, but recently Tencent announced its acquisition of Sogou at a valuation triple what it was two months ago, completely disrupting the comparison. As a result, Sun likened Sogou to the "Unicorn King" from the novel Journey to the West—a character who relied on connections—and declared the bet with Wang Xiaochuan null and void.
