TechFlow news — On July 23, the China Judgments Online website published a first-instance civil ruling titled "Li Kepeng v. Beijing Bochen Technology Co., Ltd. and Zhang Jian on Dispute over Property Damage Compensation." According to the document, Li Kepeng filed a lawsuit against Zhang Jian, Beijing Bochen Technology Co., Ltd., and its shareholders—including Beijing Huobi Tianxia Network Technology Co., Ltd., Du Jun, Ran Lizhi, Yonyou Network Technologies Inc., and Ningbo Bodar Jiu Fu Investment Management Partnership—seeking compensation for property damage.
Ultimately, the Beilun District People's Court of Ningbo City ruled that it lacked jurisdiction over the case, citing that a corporate legal person’s domicile shall be determined by its principal administrative office location, and transferred the case to the Chaoyang District People's Court of Beijing for trial.
