TechFlow news, July 16, Bank of America CEO Brian Moynihan joined a host of Wall Street leaders in echoing serious concerns regarding artificial intelligence models such as "Mythos" developed by Anthropic. "This marks a huge change in workload, as well as the speed at which these tools impact system vulnerabilities, and how quickly we must respond," Moynihan said. In recent months, the rapid evolution of artificial intelligence models has prompted the financial industry and the U.S. government to begin assessing potential threats.
Anthropic claims that the Mythos model, launched earlier this year, performs excellently in discovering system vulnerabilities. Bank of America is one of the Wall Street institutions authorized to use Mythos; the bank uses the model to test its own systems and share information with peers. Currently, the model is not yet open to the public; JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon warned earlier this week that widely opening the system to the public is as "dangerous as handing ballistic missiles to individuals."
