TechFlow reports, on July 11, US President Trump stated on social media that Micron is accelerating spending in the US, planning to invest $250 billion to manufacture memory chips in the US. "We are bringing manufacturing back to America and securing our supply chains. This means hardworking patriots across the nation will welcome thousands of high-quality jobs." Additionally, he reposted Micron Technology CEO Sanjay Mehrotra's statement: "Last week, I told President Trump that, thanks to his leadership and policies, Micron Technology will announce today—not only are we ahead of schedule, but we will also increase our manufacturing and R&D investment in the US from $200 billion to $250 billion, thereby creating 100,000 American jobs. This is another example of the 'Trump Effect' driving historic private sector investment, American manufacturing, and job creation." (Jin10)
