TechFlow news, July 11. According to reports, as OpenAI undergoes restructuring, the company's Head of Safety Systems Johannes Heidecke announced his departure to the team this week. The core objective of this restructuring is to merge OpenAI's safety department with its research department. An internal memo shows that OpenAI Chief Research Officer Mark Chen stated the safety team will be managed by Vice President of Research and Head of Integration Mia Glaese, who will concurrently serve as Vice President of Research and Safety. Former Head of Safety Team Saachi Jain will serve as Interim Head of Safety Systems and will report to Glaese. (Jin10)
