TechFlow News, May 18: According to Fortune magazine, U.S. President Trump was incredulous to learn that NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang does not own a private jet. Just hours before Trump departed for the highly anticipated China summit, he was scrambling to arrange for this billionaire co-founder to join a delegation of business leaders bound for Beijing—including Citigroup’s Jane Fraser and Boeing CEO Kelly Ortberg. Although Huang joined the delegation late, he was warmly welcomed. Given Huang’s status as one of America’s most successful CEOs—and as head of the company whose chips power the AI boom—Trump was more than willing to make room for him. Consequently, Huang ultimately flew aboard Air Force One alongside Elon Musk and others. The report notes that Huang had not originally been included on the list simply because he had not called in to request inclusion.
