TechFlow News, May 11: According to an official announcement by Tether, Tether has launched a Developer Grant Program targeting developers building on its open technology stack. Grants have no aggregate cap and are paid in USD₮ or Bitcoin based on deliverables, with individual awards currently ranging from $1,500 to $4,000. The program prioritizes funding in four key areas: development of core libraries—including QVAC, MOS, WDK, and Pears; technical documentation and onboarding resources; application development leveraging the Tether technology stack; and research into decentralization, edge AI, peer-to-peer networking, and cryptography. Notably, the QVAC platform enables localized AI inference without reliance on cloud servers, while the Wallet Development Kit (WDK) allows developers to embed self-hosted wallets directly into applications, enabling local key management and intermediary-free fund transfers.
