TechFlow News, May 6: Wang Yi, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Minister of Foreign Affairs, held talks with Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian in Beijing. Amir-Abdollahian briefed Wang on the latest developments in Iran-U.S. negotiations and Iran’s next steps, stating that facts have proven political crises cannot be resolved through military means. Iran will firmly safeguard its national sovereignty and national dignity while continuously building consensus and seeking a comprehensive, permanent solution through peaceful negotiations. The issue of opening the Strait of Hormuz can be resolved promptly at present. Iran highly commends and endorses President Xi Jinping’s four-point proposal on safeguarding and promoting regional peace and stability, and applauds China for consistently standing on the right side of history and making unremitting efforts—through a constructive approach—to prevent further deterioration and spillover of the situation. Iran trusts China and expects it to continue playing an active role in promoting peace and ending hostilities; Iran also supports establishing a new post-war regional architecture capable of balancing development and security.
