TechFlow News, April 19: According to Al Jazeera, two Pakistani security sources stated that negotiations between the U.S. and Iran are highly likely to take place before Friday. These sources based their assessment on several factors: two U.S. heavy transport aircraft (C-17 Globemaster III) have landed at Nur Khan Air Base in Rawalpindi—a base located near Pakistan’s capital, Islamabad. Additionally, the road from the airport to Islamabad’s Red Zone has been temporarily closed, indicating heightened security measures. Finally, the sources noted that Islamabad’s Serena Hotel and Marriott Hotel are evacuating guests and will not accept new bookings until Friday. The Serena Hotel hosted the first round of U.S.-Iran talks on April 11. (Jinshi)
