TechFlow News, April 12: According to Cointelegraph, Polymarket’s betting page briefly appeared in Google News search results alongside mainstream media outlets before being removed.
A Google spokesperson, Ned Adriance, told The Verge that Polymarket’s appearance in Google News was an error: “The site’s brief appearance in Google News was a mistake and it no longer appears.” As cited by Futurism, when users searched for “Will ships pass through the Strait of Hormuz?”, Polymarket’s related market page appeared alongside Reuters and The Guardian reports. On Sunday, Cointelegraph searched the same keyword independently but found no Polymarket results.
Last year, Google partnered with Polymarket and its competitor Kalshi to integrate their data into Google Finance.
