TechFlow News: On March 18, according to CoinDesk, Illinois Lieutenant Governor Juliana Stratton defeated U.S. Representative Raja Krishnamoorthi in the Democratic Senate primary. Krishnamoorthi had received over $8 million in support from the cryptocurrency super PAC Fairshake, while Stratton was endorsed by Illinois Governor JB Pritzker. As this seat has been rated “Solid Democratic” by the Cook Political Report, Stratton is highly likely to assume office as a U.S. Senator following the November general election this year.
