TechFlow News: On March 14, on-chain analyst Ember (@EmberCN) reported that investment firm Blockchain Capital transferred its entire AAVE holdings—216,000 tokens (valued at approximately $24.8 million)—to Coinbase Prime, completing a full exit.
Between October 2020 and March 2023, Blockchain Capital accumulated a total of 233,000 $AAVE tokens at an average purchase price of roughly $94 per token, making it AAVE’s largest institutional holder for an extended period. During $AAVE’s peak price in December 2024, the firm sold 16,900 tokens (worth approximately $5.04 million) via FalconX; the recent transfer to Coinbase Prime represents its remaining entire position. If these tokens are subsequently sold following the transfer, Blockchain Capital’s aggregate profit on $AAVE would amount to approximately $7.9 million.
Last week, investment firm ParaFi Capital also sold its AAVE holdings and rotated into SKY.
