X platform has removed “financial products, cryptocurrencies” from the list of prohibited industries in its “Paid Partnership Policy.”
Earlier news: X platform’s paid partnership policy has been updated—cryptocurrencies, investment services, and similar offerings do not meet the promotion criteria.
TechFlow News, March 2, X platform removed categories such as “financial products, cryptocurrencies” from the prohibited industries list in its “Paid Partnership Policy.” Nikita Bier, X’s Product Lead and Solana Advisor, stated in a post that this was an error and has since been corrected; he also noted his enthusiasm for prediction markets. This means cryptocurrency-related advertisements on X will now be required to display the “Paid Partnership” disclosure label.
Earlier reports indicated that X updated its Paid Partnership Policy: cryptocurrencies, investment services, and similar offerings no longer meet the eligibility criteria for promotion.
