OpenEden: DNS control has been restored; reserve assets remain unaffected
According to a post by OpenEden on X, DNS control has now been fully restored, and openeden.com and its subdomains have returned to normal operation. On February 16, openeden.com suffered a DNS-level intrusion due to unauthorized modifications to its DNS records. An investigation conducted jointly by OpenEden, its security partners, and infrastructure providers confirmed that no smart contracts were compromised, internal systems were not breached, core applications remained intact, and reserve assets were unaffected. All reserve assets can be independently verified via Chainlink’s Proof of Reserve. The incident was detected and resolved within 24 hours, and additional security measures have since been implemented to strengthen domain and infrastructure protection.
TechFlow reports that on February 19, OpenEden announced on X that it has fully restored DNS control, and openeden.com along with its subdomains have resumed normal operation. On February 16, openeden.com suffered a DNS-level intrusion due to unauthorized modifications to its DNS records.
