TechFlow News: On February 13, RTL reported that David Prinçay, CEO of Binance France, narrowly escaped a home invasion attempt on February 12. Around 7 a.m. that day, three masked assailants armed with weapons broke into an apartment building in Val-de-Marne, France, attempting to locate the residence of the head of Binance France.
The perpetrators first forcibly entered another resident’s apartment to obtain information about the target’s unit, then searched the cryptocurrency executive’s residence. Finding the occupant absent, they stole two mobile phones before fleeing the scene. At 9:15 a.m. the same day, the three suspects attacked another resident in Vaulx-en-Velin—apparently mistaking them for a different cryptocurrency entrepreneur.
Police tracked down and arrested the three suspects at Lyon-Perrache railway station using surveillance footage and mobile phone signal data. They are currently in custody and under investigation.
