TechFlow News, February 13: According to The Block, U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) Chairman Michael S. Selig announced the formation of the Innovation Advisory Committee (IAC) and appointed 35 members to advise on the regulation of breakthrough technologies such as artificial intelligence and blockchain. The committee boasts a strong lineup of members, including blockchain project representatives such as Vivek Raman of Etherealize, Anatoly Yakovenko of Solana Labs, and Brad Garlinghouse of Ripple, as well as senior executives from major cryptocurrency exchanges including Coinbase, Crypto.com, and Gemini.
In addition, founders of prediction market platforms Polymarket and Kalshi, along with representatives from prominent venture capital firms—including a16z crypto and Framework Ventures—are also included on the list. Selig stated that the committee will help the CFTC develop rules aligned with market realities, paving the way for a “golden age” of U.S. financial markets.
