TechFlow News, January 29: According to CoinDesk, cryptocurrency payment firm BCB Group has appointed Tim Renew as its new Chief Executive Officer, tasked with leading the digital asset infrastructure provider into its next phase of growth. Co-founder Oliver Tonkin will transition to the role of President, continuing to focus on corporate strategy, culture, and long-term development.
Renew joined BCB Group in July 2024 as Chief Revenue Officer and was later promoted to Deputy CEO. During his tenure, the company expanded its international operations and achieved growth in both transaction volume and revenue.
BCB Group positions itself as a payments and banking infrastructure provider bridging traditional financial institutions with blockchain settlement networks. The company stated that since entering 2026, it has strengthened its regulatory footprint and investor relations, while institutional interest in digital assets and stablecoin payments continues to rise. The company is currently preparing to close its Series B funding round.
