TechFlow News, January 3rd: According to Aave founder Stani Kulechov, Aave Labs plans to share non-protocol generated revenue with AAVE token holders and seeks solutions regarding brand assets to address recent community governance disagreements. Kulechov stated that the team will be allowed to independently develop products on the decentralized Aave protocol, while the protocol benefits from increased usage and revenue. He emphasized the need to align with AAVE holders on a long-term development vision, including expanding into new asset categories such as real-world assets, and consumer and institutional lending models.
This proposal responds to community disputes over the allocation of Aave Labs front-end fees and intellectual property ownership. A formal plan will be introduced subsequently to clarify the distribution structure.
