TechFlow, Dec 18 — According to Crypto in America, Caroline Pham, the outgoing acting chair of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), is set to join cryptocurrency payment firm MoonPay as Chief Legal and Administrative Officer. In her new role, Pham will oversee the company’s global legal and administrative functions and lead its policy and regulatory strategy in Washington, D.C. This move comes as her nearly four-year tenure at the CFTC draws to a close, with her successor Mike Selig scheduled for Senate confirmation this week.
During her time at the CFTC, Pham championed several crypto-friendly initiatives, including enabling spot crypto products to trade on U.S. federally regulated markets and launching a pilot program allowing Bitcoin, Ethereum, and USDC stablecoins to be used as collateral in U.S. derivatives markets.
