TechFlow news, December 16 — According to Decrypt, U.S. President Donald Trump stated he has taken note of the case involving Samourai Wallet developer Keonne Rodriguez and said he will "study" whether to grant a pardon, while instructing Attorney General Pam Bondi to investigate the related request. Rodriguez was convicted by the U.S. Department of Justice for developing the Bitcoin privacy tool Samourai Wallet, which was deemed illegal money transmission, and was sentenced last month to five years in federal prison. He is set to report for incarceration this Friday.
