TechFlow news, December 15 — According to CoinDesk, Ripple announced it will expand its U.S. dollar-pegged stablecoin RLUSD to Ethereum layer-2 networks, including Optimism, Coinbase's Base, Kraken's Ink, and Uniswap's Unichain.
The company stated that it is currently in the testing phase and expects broader rollout next year following regulatory approval from the New York State Department of Financial Services (NYDFS). This expansion leverages Wormhole's Native Token Transfer (NTT) standard, enabling RLUSD to move natively across different blockchains without requiring wrapped or synthetic assets.
