TechFlow news, November 20 — According to Fortune, HelloTrade, a blockchain-powered trading platform co-founded by former BlackRock digital assets team members Kevin Tang and Wyatt Raich, announced it has raised $4.6 million in its first funding round led by Dragonfly Capital, with participation from Mirana Ventures and support from angel investors.
HelloTrade aims to use cryptocurrency technology to provide global investors with access to U.S. assets, addressing the difficulty international users face in purchasing traditional investment products like U.S. stocks. The platform also offers perpetual futures trading services, enabling users to gain exposure to assets beyond the cash available on the platform.
Kevin Tang previously served as Senior Director on BlackRock’s digital assets team, while Wyatt Raich was Head of Engineering at the company’s Digital Assets Lab. During their tenure, both participated in the development of iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) and iShares Ethereum Trust (ETHA) ETF products. The HelloTrade product is expected to officially launch by the end of this year or early next year.
