TechFlow, November 18 — According to CoinDesk, Mastercard has announced the selection of Polygon to support its new system that enables users to send cryptocurrency using verified usernames instead of long wallet addresses.
The Polygon network will process these transfers at high speed and low cost. Raj Dhamodharan, Mastercard's Executive Vice President of Blockchain and Digital Assets, said the credential system is building trust in digital token transfers by simplifying wallet addresses and adding meaningful verification, making digital assets more accessible.
