TechFlow news, October 10 — According to PRNewswire, cryptocurrency mining company BIT Mining Limited (NYSE: BTCM) announced it will change its corporate name to "SOLAI Limited" and its stock ticker symbol to "SLAI".
The company's shareholders approved the change of its English name through a special resolution at the extraordinary general meeting held on October 9. The new corporate name and stock ticker will take effect at the market open on Monday, October 20.
Previously a crypto miner, BIT Mining announced in August this year its strategic shift toward the Solana ecosystem, and in early September increased its holdings by 17,221 SOL, bringing its total holdings to 44,412 SOL at that time.
