Lambda256, South Korean blockchain firm, raises $60 million in Series B round led by Hanhwa Group
On December 13, Lambda256, a South Korean blockchain company, announced it has completed a Series B funding round of 70 billion KRW (approximately $60 million), led by Hanhwa Group with a 10 billion KRW investment. Other participants include new private equity fund VTIPartners, Woori Technology Investment, and others. Company executives said Hanhwa Systems will collaborate with Lambda256 to develop a blockchain-based platform targeting both domestic and international markets, though specific project details are not yet available. Lambda256 is the blockchain subsidiary of Dunamu, operator of cryptocurrency exchange Upbit, and was spun off in March 2019.

On December 13, chain game AcadArena announced it has raised $3.5 million in a seed funding round led by 1kx, with participation from PKO Investments, Kingsway, Iterative, Infinity Ventures Crypto, Eden Holdings, and Hustle Fund. This marks one of the largest seed rounds in Philippine history. AcadArena focuses on the campus market, offering students play-to-earn crypto gaming experiences, along with learning opportunities in Web3, crypto, and esports industries.

This afternoon, Daniele Sestagalli, founder of Abracadabra, posted on the governance forum proposing to merge Sushiswap into the Frog Nation ecosystem. According to the proposal, Frog Nation will establish a new service collective for Sushi, integrating it into the ecosystem alongside Abracadabra, Popsicle Finance, and Wonderland. During this transition, the service collective retains the right to restructure Sushi and clearly define governance parameters at an accelerated pace. The Sushi team and the new service team will work closely with Daniele Sesta and his team, sharing expertise and resources across all three projects.
