Monad's flagship project aPriori unveils innovative roadmap, launches Swapr order flow infrastructure
The creation of Swapr stems from a clear assessment: high latency and unfair transaction ordering remain the core obstacles preventing DeFi from matching the trading speed of traditional finance.
Author: aPriori
DeFi trading experience is about to be redefined. aPriori, backed by top-tier institutions including Pantera Capital, YZi Lab, and OKX Ventures, and focused on MEV and liquid staking infrastructure on the Monad architecture, has announced the upcoming launch of Swapr—a DEX aggregator built for high-performance chains that delivers an unprecedented execution experience through real-time order flow identification, smart wallet classification, and low-latency routing.
Swapr's creation stems from a clear insight: high latency and unfair transaction ordering remain core obstacles preventing DeFi from matching traditional financial trading speeds. Meanwhile, the lack of censorship-resistant execution environments deters many traditional institutions from deploying capital on-chain.
"True financial infrastructure must not only be fast, but also stable and fair," said Ray, founder of aPriori. "We aim to leverage next-generation high-performance chains like Monad to reconstruct trading execution standards without compromising decentralization."
Swapr: More than an aggregator—An intelligent order flow distribution system
The key innovation of Swapr lies in its built-in order flow identification and classification capability. Powered by proprietary AI models, Swapr can identify and classify a transaction within 500 milliseconds, directing healthy, natural "clean orders" to efficient pools such as Capricorn’s private liquidity pool, while routing toxic flows like frontrunning and arbitrage to AMMs with stronger buffering capacity, protecting LPs from malicious liquidity erosion.
Swapr's order flow classification is based on:
-
Transaction characteristics: source of transaction, wallet type, pair volatility, slippage preference, etc.;
-
Wallet behavior history: past trading patterns, cross-chain activity, and fund pathways of the address;
-
Protocol-defined preferences: support for DEX developers to integrate custom rules for flexible liquidity access management.
This means Swapr does not blindly broadcast transactions—it first "understands" each trade before deciding where to execute it.
Vertically integrated architecture with validators
Swapr is more than a frontend tool; it is fully integrated into aPriori’s MEV infrastructure, deeply combining with validator nodes, staking modules, and block-building logic.
This design enables three core advantages:
-
Unified on-chain and off-chain paths: transactions are submitted through the same channel as aPriori, achieving faster confirmation and stronger MEV protection;
-
Richer data for model training: via private RPC and MEV bundle channels, Swapr accesses vast real-world transaction intent data to continuously optimize classification algorithms;
-
Leveraging Monad’s parallel EVM advantage: with transaction execution no longer a bottleneck, Swapr uses chain-level performance and historical behavior data to more accurately assess liquidity risk.
Ray emphasized: "The true test of whether our AI classification model works isn't how 'smart' the algorithm is, but whether users get better prices on our platform than elsewhere. That's the hardest metric."
Next steps: broader, deeper, faster
Upcoming updates for Swapr include:
-
Multi-chain wallet behavior clustering and dataset expansion
-
New time-series models to detect "emerging toxic flows"
-
Modular integration with more Monad-native DEXs to further reduce transaction latency
"We believe that in the future, when users swap stablecoins or execute trades on-chain, they should enjoy execution quality comparable to centralized exchanges," said Ray. "And building that experience starts with Swapr."
The team behind Swapr includes members from Jump, Coinbase, Citadel Securities, and dYdX, combining professional expertise in traditional high-frequency trading with native on-chain technical capabilities, building the true next-generation trading foundation for DeFi.
