XION launches "Dave" developer kit, opening Web3 access to 18 million mobile developers worldwide
XION, the first walletless Layer 1 blockchain dedicated to driving Web3 mainstream adoption, today officially launched Dave, its flagship mobile development kit, opening access to Web3 for over 18 million mobile developers and 5.8 billion mobile users worldwide.
New York Time, June 3, 2025 — XION, the first walletless Layer 1 blockchain dedicated to mainstreaming Web3, today officially launched its flagship mobile SDK—Dave. Built for both iOS and Android platforms, this development suite aims to break down mobile adoption barriers in crypto by making blockchain "entirely invisible" within mobile applications.
Dave provides a full suite of native development tools for over 18 million mobile developers worldwide, enabling seamless integration of the XION blockchain into native apps. Users can authenticate and interact with the chain through a process similar to OAuth—without ever needing to switch to an external wallet. This innovation drastically lowers the barrier to entry for Web3 applications, truly realizing the vision of “using Web3 like Web2.”
"Mobile has long been a blind spot for the crypto industry, yet it's where most internet users access services," said Anthony Anzalone (Burnt Banksy), founder of XION. "With Dave, developers can now build Web3 apps that feel as intuitive as Web2 experiences—an essential step toward our vision of mass Web3 adoption."
The release comes amid significant shifts in app store policies, such as recent legal rulings against Apple’s 30% app tax, opening new opportunities for blockchain-based payments and digital assets on mobile. With its native walletless architecture, XION is uniquely positioned to lead this transformation.
The launch of Dave also marks the beginning of an upcoming mobile-first developer hackathon hosted by XION, encouraging builders to use this new toolkit to create practical, user-friendly Web3 applications. The competition will run for 6–8 weeks and is open to all Web2 and Web3 developers, with hopes of incubating the next “industry unicorn.”
Since its mainnet launch at the end of 2024, XION has rapidly expanded its ecosystem, partnering with major brands including Amazon, Uber, The North Face, and LEGO, attracting millions of users. The release of this mobile SDK further solidifies XION’s leadership role in driving Web3 into the mainstream.
"We've always believed that true Web3 adoption should happen without users even realizing they're using blockchain," emphasized Burnt Banksy. "Dave embodies this philosophy, empowering developers to build seamless, painless Web3 mobile experiences. If the web has gone mobile, then Web3 must move with it."
The Dave SDK is now live. Developers can access full documentation, integration guides, and tutorials at https://docs.burnt.com/xion. Future updates will introduce enhanced features such as zkTLS and App Attestation, further strengthening XION’s leading capabilities on mobile.
