According to CNBC, President Trump said Monday morning that even if a long-term deal isn't reached after the 90-day pause expires, tariffs on China won't revert to 145%, but will rise significantly. Earlier reports indicated that China and the U.S. reached a temporary trade agreement, under which both sides would substantially reduce tariffs—America would lower its tariffs on China from 145% to 30%, while China would cut tariffs on U.S. goods from 125% to 10%.

Earlier reports indicated that China and the U.S. reached a temporary trade agreement, under which both sides would substantially reduce tariffs—the U.S. lowering its tariffs on Chinese goods from 145% to 30%, while China would lower tariffs on U.S. products from 125% to 10%.
