PolyFlow Wins Hashkey Hackerhouse UMY Award for Innovative Decentralized Payment Gateway, Showcasing the Integration of Technology and Compliance
By deeply integrating Polyflow's Payment Identity (PID) with Trusta Labs' on-chain wallet address credit scoring, both parties will collaborate to build an innovative decentralized credit system.
From December 20 to 22, 2024, HASHKEY HACKER House Taichu successfully concluded in Hong Kong. As a global gathering for blockchain developers, this event attracted numerous innovative projects showcasing the integration of cutting-edge technology and compliance principles. Among the participating teams, PolyFlow—the first modular PayFi infrastructure—was awarded the UMY Award by HASHKEY for its pioneering decentralized payment gateway solution, distinguished by exceptional technical execution and a compelling product vision.

HASHKEY HACKER House Taichu was a global blockchain hackathon centered on "compliant innovation," aiming to explore how blockchain technology can achieve breakthrough advancements within regulatory frameworks. The event brought together top-tier developers and blockchain project teams from around the world to drive technological innovation, discuss compliance strategies, and demonstrate how technology can generate real-world value in commercial applications.
PolyFlow is the first modular PayFi infrastructure, enabling seamless integration between RWA (real-world assets) and DeFi (decentralized finance) through its core products: PID (Payment ID) as a compliant access entry point, and PLP (Payment Liquid Pool) as a fund custody gateway—ushering in a new financial paradigm for PayFi. Previously, PolyFlow announced a strategic partnership with Trusta Labs, a Web3 identity and credit infrastructure provider, to jointly advance innovative applications of decentralized credit systems within PayFi payment scenarios. By deeply integrating PolyFlow’s payment identity (PID) with Trusta Labs’ on-chain wallet address credit scoring, the two parties are collaborating to build an innovative decentralized credit framework. At the heart of this collaboration lies on-chain credit tokenization: PID can provide on-chain credit verification for wallet addresses, further bridging DeFi with real-world payment use cases.
Leveraging its deep integration with Trusta Labs and its core PID+PLP architecture, PolyFlow demonstrated multiple functions of its innovative decentralized payment gateway at this Hacker House—fulfilling basic cryptocurrency payment needs for consumers and merchants while ensuring compliant access, and additionally offering merchants new revenue streams and financial safeguards through a decentralized architecture.
PolyFlow’s decentralized payment gateway delivers an all-in-one crypto payment solution for merchants, consumers, and protocol participants, including:
-
Payment Integration: Merchants can integrate the PolyFlow gateway to enable cryptocurrency payments and on-chain fund custody.
-
PID Access Mechanism: A lightweight compliance identity authentication system based on NFTs (PID) ensures compliance for both consumers and merchants, while introducing an on-chain credit scoring system.
-
Protocol Revenue Distribution: Interest-bearing tokens within the PLP smart contract enable fair distribution of transaction fee revenues, with periodic incentives provided to protocol participants via a Rebase mechanism.
-
Decentralized Security: Funds are held in smart contracts with no privileged roles, ensuring asset security and transparency.
-
Capital Appreciation: The core contract supports integration with DeFi protocols, enabling secure fund custody along with asset growth.

This innovative solution received widespread acclaim from organizers and attendees during its live demonstration at Hacker House, with key highlights including:
-
Innovative Payment Workflow Design: The entire process—from user payment and fund aggregation to interest-bearing token minting, revenue distribution, and merchant withdrawals—is fully decentralized, efficient, and transparent.
-
Integration of Compliance and Technology: The PID system enables lightweight compliance authentication, providing merchants and users with a secure and reliable onboarding mechanism.
-
Sustainable Ecosystem Construction: Transaction fee revenues are automatically reinvested into the protocol, while maintaining extensibility for future integrations with additional DeFi protocols.
The organizer, HASHKEY, noted that PolyFlow’s product design perfectly aligns with the event’s theme of “innovation and compliance,” demonstrating the immense potential of PayFi in real-world commercial applications.
The success of HASHKEY HACKER House Taichu has strengthened PolyFlow’s belief that more like-minded industry partners will join hands on this journey, collectively building a healthier and more sustainable blockchain ecosystem.
