On November 1, according to Coinbase's latest Q3 2024 shareholder letter, the following data was released: - Total trading volume reached $185 billion, an 18% decrease from Q2 (down from $226 billion to $185 billion) - Institutional investor trading volume amounted to $151 billion, accounting for 81.6% of total volume, maintaining its dominant position - Retail investor trading volume was $34 billion, representing 18.4% of total volume In terms of cryptocurrency trading composition: - Bitcoin's share rose to 37%, up from the previous quarter

• USDT’s trading share rebounded from 10% back to 15%
• Other cryptocurrencies dropped to 33%
Notably, Solana’s share in trading revenue has reached 11%, highlighting its growing importance as an emerging public blockchain. Although overall trading volume declined sequentially, the rising share of Bitcoin trading reflects that Bitcoin remains the primary preferred crypto asset among institutional investors following ETF approvals.
