I am thrilled to announce my joining of OKX SG as CEO. I accepted this role because I believe cryptocurrency represents the next frontier of innovation. Singapore has played a pivotal role in crypto adoption, and I am confident in our ability to securely and seamlessly connect Singaporean customers to the on-chain world.
OKX has nearly a decade of experience in the crypto industry. In recent years, we have continuously expanded our global footprint, securing licenses in key locations worldwide. We are committed to responsible innovation, pursuing sustainable growth while steadfastly advancing technological progress and safeguarding user interests.
As an important digital asset hub, Singapore is an integral part of our global strategy. Our team has been diligently building a solid foundation here. Today, I am proud to announce that OKX SG has obtained a Major Payment Institution (MPI) license from the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS).
This MPI license enables us to offer digital payment token services and cross-border money transfer services, including spot trading (buying and selling) of cryptocurrencies for customers in Singapore. Obtaining this license marks a significant milestone for us, and we are more committed than ever to providing access for our users and contributing to the growth of the community and ecosystem.
I was born and raised in Singapore and have always sought ways to contribute to the country. Fortunately, in my previous career, I had such opportunities at MAS, GIC, and Grab. Now, I believe OKX SG is a platform where I can make an even greater impact.
I am incredibly excited about the opportunities ahead and honored to lead Singapore’s leading digital exchange. With our team’s proven track record, passion, and ambition, along with our vibrant community, I am confident about what lies ahead.
