OKX Global Chief Commercial Officer Lennix: Becoming the Gateway to the Web3 Parallel World
Web3 is building the idealized version of our internet world, but the transition from Web2 to Web3 faces obstacles. OKX is committed to becoming the gateway connecting these two worlds, offering comprehensive services across CeFi and DeFi.

On August 15, Lennix, Global Chief Business Officer of OKX, was invited to attend the "Innovation Technology and Art Development Summit Forum 2023" (ITA2023), where he delivered a keynote speech titled "OKX: Becoming the Gateway to the Web3 Parallel World," elaborating on OKX's Web3 business and global compliance strategy.
The "Innovation Technology and Art Development Summit Forum 2023," abbreviated as ITA2023, is hosted by the Bauhinia Magazine and co-organized by Triangle Technology (Hong Kong) Limited. This year’s forum, themed “Web3.0 Revisited: Building a Golden New Starting Point,” brought together prominent figures including John Lee, Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region; Andrew Leung, President of the Legislative Council of HKSAR; officials from central government agencies in Hong Kong; relevant government leaders; and well-known individuals from finance, innovation and technology, and cultural arts sectors for cross-sector exchanges and in-depth discussions.
During his speech, Lennix of OKX stated that Bitcoin has initiated the grand narrative of the next-generation internet—Web3—and its underlying blockchain technology is turning this vision into reality. Web3 moves beyond the centralized model of traditional Web2 internet, aiming to break monopolies and return data ownership and privacy rights to users, thereby reshaping the relationship between individuals and platforms.
“While Web3 is building the idealized version of the internet we envision, the transition from Web2 to Web3 faces obstacles. As a leading global cryptocurrency exchange and Web3 technology company, OKX is committed to becoming the gateway connecting these two worlds, offering comprehensive services across both CeFi and DeFi,” said Lennix. “The OKX Exchange is the core product of our CeFi offerings, providing secure, reliable, and fast trading services trusted by over 50 million users worldwide. The OKX Web3 Wallet is the core of our DeFi business—the product we are especially excited to share with you today.”
Lennix explained that the OKX Web3 Wallet is the most comprehensive heterogeneous multi-chain wallet designed to serve as a one-stop entry point to Web3, enabling Web2 users globally—as well as approximately 1.7 billion unbanked individuals—to access the on-chain world anytime, anywhere, with fairness and freedom, and to enjoy financial and technological services.
According to Lennix, the OKX Web3 Wallet launched in 2017 and currently supports over 65 public blockchains, aggregates more than 300 decentralized exchanges (DEXs), provides access to over 11.3 million DApps, supports over 258 million NFTs, and maintains a perfect record of zero security incidents.
