TechFlow Insights
ROOT is an omnichain governance aggregator designed to integrate various dApps onto a single platform, serving as an operating system for DeFi and making DeFi more accessible and appealing. ROOT is built using Layer Zero and employs omnichain governance and yield mechanisms.
Its product features and value are mainly reflected in the following aspects:
-
Omnichain Governance Aggregation: Integrates governance layers from different protocols and blockchains into a unified platform, enabling users to manage and participate in governance across multiple projects through a single interface.
-
Yield Distribution and Profit Direction: Distributes yields to holders and channels profits to its internal DeFi lab (BloomWorks).
-
Cross-chain Interoperability: ROOT enables seamless transfer and interaction of assets and data across different blockchains.
Tokenomics
The project's core token is $ROOT. Users can redeem ROOT on DeFi protocols or purchase bonds within the product to obtain ROOT. Currently, the ROOT token has not yet officially added liquidity. Users can earn yields through the following methods:
-
Sell assets to the DAO to obtain ROOT bonds and acquire ROOT tokens at a discounted price.
-
Add assets to ROOT's liquidity pools and earn yield from trading fees and incentives.
-
Earn yield by buying and selling ROOT bonds.
-
Stake ROOT to obtain veROOT or esROOT, gaining greater rights and more yield opportunities.
Meanwhile, rootNFT is also a key element in the economic design. Holding a rootNFT entitles users to earnings such as 40% of the Treasury income and targeted esROOT APR. The rootNFT public sale has already started, with a total of 2,412 Genesis NFTs available for purchase. As of this writing, 100 NFTs remain unsold in the current round.
Recent Updates
Liquidity for the ROOT token will be provided after the public sale concludes; the project's dApp will be deployed on the Ethereum mainnet on June 26, 2023, at 12:00 AM.
As an aggregator project built on the previously popular L0 protocol, ROOT currently has relatively low visibility but holds certain potential within the cross-chain narrative. If concerned about high early-stage risks, one may wait until the dApp officially launches and observe its adoption before making further decisions.
