TechFlow, on September 24, Binance founder CZ and YZi Labs head Ella Zhang took to social media to refute a Financial Times (FT) report regarding YZi Labs. Both executives emphasized that YZi Labs currently has no plans to raise external funding and has operated independently since its rebranding from Binance Labs.
Ella Zhang further clarified that the "Easy Residency Demo Day" previously held at the New York Stock Exchange was a public event for investors, builders, and regulators, not a "private demo" as reported.
CZ also denied FT's characterization of failing to maintain an anti-money laundering program as a "money laundering violation." YZi Labs stated it will continue focusing on supporting founder innovation and reducing engagement with media outlets carrying preset agendas.
