TechFlow, September 16 — According to The Block, the Ethereum Foundation has launched the Fusaka upgrade security audit competition with a prize pool of up to $2 million. Hosted by Sherlock and co-organized by Gnosis and Lido, this four-week audit (from September 15 to October 13) aims to identify potential vulnerabilities before launch. The Fusaka upgrade includes around 12 EIPs, primarily focusing on enhancing security, throughput, and efficiency. Among them, "node data availability sampling" will distribute data verification among nodes, expanding Rollups capacity. The competition features a reward multiplier mechanism: 2x in the first week and 1.5x in the second week. The upgrade is targeted for mainnet deployment in Q4 2025, although Ethereum Foundation executive director Tomasz Stańczak noted the timeline could be delayed if coordination is insufficient.
