TechFlow, August 28 — According to Bloomberg, Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission executive director Ip Wai Shing and Legislative Council member Ng Kit Ching have withdrawn from the speaker lineup for the Bitcoin Asia conference taking place on August 28–29. The South China Morning Post, citing sources, reported that both individuals pulled out after being instructed not to interact with Eric Trump, son of U.S. President Donald Trump. The event, scheduled for August 28–29, lists Eric Trump, Executive Vice President of the Trump Organization, as a keynote speaker. A Beijing-linked expert said the instruction was intended to avoid "cooperating with or appeasing the Trumps."
