TechFlow, August 25 — According to The Block, Telegram founder Pavel Durov issued a statement on the first anniversary of his arrest by French authorities, calling the incident "legally and logically absurd." Durov was arrested on August 24, 2024, and subsequently faced 12 charges, including money laundering and illegal content distribution. A year later, he stated that French authorities have still not found any evidence of wrongdoing by him or Telegram, yet he is still required to return to France every 14 days, and the date for his appeal remains undetermined.
