TechFlow news, on August 19, according to Guangming Network, Ningbo cracked a fraud case involving remote ordering of "instant delivery Maotai" using virtual currency. The defendant targeted tobacco and liquor shops, using fake payment receipts to swindle authentic Maotai liquor and transferred the illicit funds to the ringleaders via virtual currency. After public prosecution by the Yinzhou District People's Procuratorate of Ningbo, the defendant Zhou was sentenced to one year and six months in prison for the crime of concealing and harboring criminal proceeds, along with a fine. The investigation into the upstream fraudsters is currently ongoing by public security authorities.
