TechFlow, August 11 — According to Jinshi Data, "Fed Whisperer" Nick Timiraos said the July CPI data will be released this week. Core CPI is expected to rise 0.31%, bringing the annual increase to 3.1% (2.9% in June, 2.8% in May). Overall inflation is also expected to rise 0.24%, resulting in a year-over-year increase of 2.8%.
Earlier, ING Bank stated that if the July core CPI monthly rate comes in at 0.3%, the Fed would have room to cut rates in September.
