TechFlow news, August 9 — Immersive Translate announced that due to some users potentially sharing web pages containing personal information (including private wallet keys and other sensitive data) when using the bilingual webpage sharing feature, the company has decided to temporarily take down this feature. The official statement emphasized that this incident does not involve any translation content or user data leaks, and is limited solely to user-generated sharing links. The feature will be relaunched after a robust privacy protection mechanism is established.
Note: Immersive Translate is a widely popular browser translation extension tool.
