TechFlow news, August 4: CryptoQuant analysts said on-chain data shows a significant increase in liquidity for bitcoins that had not been transferred for over seven years. In 2024, more than 255,000 bitcoins were reactivated, and so far in 2025, the number has exceeded 215,000. The average monthly transaction volume has increased from 4,900 BTC in 2023 to 30,700 BTC in 2025, while the average transaction size has risen from 162 BTC to over 1,000 BTC.
The analysis indicates this trend reflects a shift in Bitcoin trading patterns—from fragmented retail transactions toward coordinated institutional capital allocation—suggesting the market is undergoing a structural transformation.
