TechFlow, July 3 — According to Bloomberg, the U.S. Department of Justice is investigating a former employee of cryptocurrency payment service company DigitalMint, who is accused of colluding with hackers during ransomware attacks to illegally profit from ransoms paid by victim organizations.
DigitalMint President Marc Jason Grens has already informed partners about this investigation this week. The company primarily acts as a negotiator during ransomware attacks and assists victim organizations with cryptocurrency payments.
