TechFlow, July 2 - According to Cointelegraph, Standard Chartered is optimistic about Bitcoin's performance for the remainder of this year, forecasting that Bitcoin will reach a new high of $135,000 by the end of the third quarter and surpass $200,000 before year-end.
Geoff Kendrick, Head of Digital Asset Research at Standard Chartered, said Bitcoin has broken free from its previous pattern of an 18-month price decline following halving cycles, thanks to strong inflows into exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and increased corporate treasury purchases.
Kendrick noted that these two drivers were absent in prior halving cycles and are expected to support continued price appreciation. Nonetheless, Standard Chartered does not rule out the possibility of price volatility between the end of the third quarter and the beginning of the fourth quarter.
