TechFlow news, June 28 — According to a post by former U.S. President Trump on his Truth Social platform, Trump announced the termination of all trade negotiations with Canada due to Canada's imposition of a digital services tax on American tech companies. Trump described Canada's move as a "direct and blatant attack on the United States" and accused Canada of imitating similar policies adopted by the European Union. He stated that the U.S. would notify Canada of the tariffs applicable to Canadian trade with the U.S. within the next seven days. Trump also mentioned that Canada has long imposed dairy tariffs as high as 400% on American farmers, calling Canada "a very difficult country to do business with."
