TechFlow, June 24 — According to Cointelegraph, Ethereum core developer Barnabé Monnot has proposed an improvement (EIP-7782) to reduce Ethereum's block time from the current 12 seconds to 6 seconds. Monnot stated that shorter slot times would make confirmation services more efficient and could enhance the network's service value. The proposal is planned to be included in the Glamsterdam upgrade scheduled for late 2026.
