This solution enables platforms to offer merchants instant USDC payments globally without having to handle blockchain complexities. Coinbase Payments has partnered with Shopify to provide USDC payment capabilities to its millions of merchants without requiring additional setup. The product features a three-layer architecture: Stablecoin Checkout for consumers, Ecommerce Engine for merchants, and Commerce Payments Protocol responsible for on-chain execution.
