TechFlow, June 12 — According to Jinshi Data, Trump is preparing to sign key parts of a U.S.-UK trade deal that would lower tariffs on British car exports to the United States in exchange for access for U.S. beef and ethanol producers to the UK market. More than a month after Trump and Starmer signed the five-page "Agreement on Economic Prosperity" during a televised press conference in the Oval Office on May 8, the "cars for agriculture" deal has now been reached. UK officials familiar with the talks said negotiations are still ongoing over the part of the agreement that Starmer claimed would grant UK steelmakers tariff-free access to the U.S. market.
