TechFlow news, June 12 — According to Japan's Kyodo News Agency, Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba plans to propose enhanced measures against North Korea's malicious cyber activities, including the theft of cryptocurrency, at the G7 summit in Canada from June 15 to 17. This will mark the first time the G7 summit addresses North Korea's cryptocurrency theft.
According to multiple sources within the Japanese government, the initiative aims to strengthen regulatory cooperation among nations to cut off North Korea’s channels for illegally acquiring cryptocurrency funds through cyberattacks, which are believed to finance the development of weapons of mass destruction.
