TechFlow news, on June 3, according to Guangming Network, Wuhan Xihu police recently succeeded in dismantling a fraud den that used virtual currency investment scams, arresting 32 suspects, among whom 20 have been criminally detained.
It is reported that the fraud gang created dating scripts by pretending to be "rich and beautiful" women to lure victims into depositing virtual currencies and investing on fake platforms. The suspects manipulated so-called "investment returns," but victims were unable to withdraw funds, ultimately resulting in financial losses.
During the operation, police seized over 40 computers used for fraud, more than 280 work phones, and a large number of fraudulent "script books." Through interrogation, police identified a clearly structured criminal organization. The case is currently under further investigation.
