TechFlow, on June 2, according to Jinshi News, an EU spokesperson said Monday that the EU has sent a technical team to Washington for trade talks with the Trump administration.
Over the weekend, the EU warned that Trump's increase of steel tariffs to 50% could jeopardize negotiations between the two economies and trigger retaliatory tariffs on U.S. goods.
The spokesperson reiterated this warning on Monday, stating the EU is prepared to take countermeasures if "our negotiations cannot yield a balanced outcome." EU Trade Commissioner Dombrovskis is expected to meet with U.S. Trade Representative Grier in Paris on Wednesday.
